More than a Brother

“This is when a nurse came and got all of us and said “follow me please”. We walked right pass the waiting room and I remember thinking to myself “thank god that dumb ass is alright and she is taking us to his room.” So here we are walking, walking past the waiting room around the corner and into a small private room with a door. Confused was an understatement. Thats when my mom lost it, she started saying “he’s gone, he’s gone, they don’t put you in these fucking rooms to give you good news, they put you in here so no one can hear you cry”. “

This would actually be the first time my brother Donnie would be meeting his nephew. Dinner was great perusal. We spent the evening laughing, sharing stories, and exchanging gifts with my sister. All in all a pretty normal night spent with family. After dinner we said our goodbyes and headed home. Once home, my brother Donnie changed and headed out with some friends. Little did I…

I still remember the night, vividly. I was out to the movies with someone who I loved. My phone was dead, so I was surprised when my date leaned over with a text from my mom. My mom had texted her saying that I needed to call her before I came home that night. That instantly worried me. I borrowed her phone and asked my mom what was going on. Thank you for your time and interest!
I was wondering if you’d share a little bit of your life for a post?
I can include your name or keep it totally anonymous.
It can be anything in the world that you want from life, friends, family, your favorite recipe, best/worst memory anything.
I just want something raw and honest. I can come up with some ideas for you or if you have something in mind, go for it. I don’t want to censor much. It can be as long or as short as you want! Take your time there is no rush!
I want to be able to connect with people like HONY or Post Secret (if you are not familiar with these projects- I am happy to explain.) does but on a smaller level. I want to expand my knowledge on life really. I have learned so much from encountering different people or reading stories on those sites. I want to make people not feel so isolated.
